The Sidewinder

The Sidewinder’s got bite and backbone. The blade’s a mix of 80CRV and 15N20 with a chevron-patterned copper inlay that catches light like a live thing. It’s tough steel—fine edge, hard core, and a finish that looks like motion. The handle’s built from giraffe bone and curly cottonwood, joined by a TruStone spacer and backed with black G10 liners for strength. At 8 inches overall, it’s balanced and fast in hand. This one’s not built for a shelf—it’s meant to be carried, used, and remembered.

About the Steel

80CRV core with 15N20 and copper chevron pattern. A tough, high-carbon blend known for edge retention, easy sharpening, and a distinctive layered look that wears in, not out.

About the Sheath

Sheath Included. Every blade leaves my shop with a hand-fit leather sheath. On its own, it’s worth $120, but I don’t sell knives without them. A knife isn’t finished until it’s got a sheath that matches it. Most sheaths you see out there feel plastic-y, like they’d snap if you bent them wrong. That’s not what I pair with these knives. These are cut from thick leather, stitched to last, and made in the USA. Over time they don’t wear out—they wear in. The leather shapes to you, softens to your side, and eventually feels less like gear and more like part of you.
