The Dead Horse

The Drop Point Hunter is built for those who take the long way home. The blade started as a farrier’s rasp, steel made to work hard and stay sharp. Its lines carry the memory of hoof and hammer, now tuned for clean cuts and steady hands. The handle blends mammoth tusk with turquoise and black copper TruStone, joined to black copper carbon fiber. The turquoise liners flash when the light hits just right. At 9 inches overall, it’s balanced, dependable, and built to live between the hunt and the hearth.

About the Steel

This blade began as a farrier’s rasp, high-carbon steel forged for grit and durability. The file texture left behind reminds you where it came from—tough, honest work turned into something precise.

About the Handle

Mammoth tusk leads the way, grounded by turquoise and black copper TruStone with a layer of black copper carbon fiber. The black and turquoise G10 liners tie it all together, giving the handle depth, color, and strength that feels as good as it looks.

About the Sheath

Sheath Included. Every blade leaves my shop with a hand-fit leather sheath. On its own, it’s worth $120, but I don’t sell knives without them. A knife isn’t finished until it’s got a sheath that matches it. Most sheaths you see out there feel plastic-y, like they’d snap if you bent them wrong. That’s not what I pair with these knives. These are cut from thick leather, stitched to last, and made in the USA. Over time they don’t wear out—they wear in. The leather shapes to you, softens to your side, and eventually feels less like gear and more like part of you.
